DVM, Emergency
Dr. Jana VanStee, DVM
Dr. Jana Van Stee originally hails from New Jersey. Growing up, she spent many of her formative years at her father’s small animal veterinary clinic. She completed her undergraduate training and the majority of her veterinary degree at Michigan State University, and transferred to Auburn University, in Alabama, for her final year. After graduation, she began practice at an emergency and critical care facility in Washington state. After following her adventurous husband to Alaska, and then South Dakota, they have finally settled in northwest Oregon.
She appreciates the intensity and intellectual challenge of emergency medicine, as well as the opportunity to work in a team environment. She particularly enjoys client education, and strives to make clients fully involved in the decision-making process for their pets. Professional interests include soft tissue surgery, endocrinopathies, and trauma management.
When not working, Dr. Van Stee is an avid runner, mountain enthusiast, and reader. She is also an active member of her local church. She and her husband have two furry potatoes (aka guinea pigs), Edgar and Snockers.
