Dr. John Wagner, DVM
Dr. John Wagner was born and raised in California. He graduated from the University of Southern California where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology and a minor in Spanish. He earned his Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy at USC and became certified as a canine rehabilitation therapist through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute.
Dr. Wagner honed his love and passion for animals at California Animal Rehabilitation (CARE), one of the largest state-of-the-art rehabilitation centers for small animals on the West Coast.
To build on that passion, he went on to earn his Doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. After graduation, he completed an intensive one-year small animal rotating internship in surgery and medicine at Purdue University. Dr. Wagner then completed a one-year surgical internship and a comprehensive three-year residency in surgery at Long Island Veterinary Specialists.
Dr. Wagner enjoys orthopedic, neurologic, and soft tissue surgery and has a special interest in rehabilitation and regenerative therapies.
Dr. Wagner moved to be close to his extended family and is excited to call Oregon his new home. Outside the hospital, Dr. Wagner enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and Pomeranian, Leo.
